My struggle with my weight began at the age of 12. By age 35, I had tried every single diet and logged thousands of hours of cardio ~ I even qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon. I worked so hard and spent a lot of my time hungry and weak. Net result? I was out of shape, exhausted, overweight and always hungry. With two small children, I was beyond frustrated.  And that's when I found strength training.


With a lot of motivation and the help of a trainer, lifting weights changed my life. My strength, confidence, bone density, posture, metabolism, mood and energy improved. I was sleeping better. I finally felt good in my own skin and I wasn't dieting. The workouts took less time than all of the cardio, and my body responded ~I finally felt and looked fit. My relationship with food changed profoundly  ~ I eat the foods I love and that nourish me. I don't worry about gaining weight, and I eat when I'm hungry. 


As an American Council on Exercise (ACE)-Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach, I use my experience, education and passion to teach my clients how to safely and effectively create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Our sessions are efficient and effective; time is precious and we want results.



By improving our health, we enhance our ability to celebrate life.



I have a fully-equipped fitness studio on the third floor of my home in Chapel Hill. The privacy and comfort enable us to talk about healthy living and execute our workout without interruption. We can even control the temperature and music! I love it when the weather allows us to open the windows and breathe fresh air. Not your typical gym experience! There's a full bathroom for you to use if you need to get ready before or after a session.
