ABOUT BECKY


 Twenty years ago I started strength training. It changed my life so profoundly that I left my corporate job and became a personal trainer.  What changed? First, my focus shifted from losing weight to feeling strong and fit; comfortable in my own body. Having struggled with my weight since the age of 12, I'd tried every diet and logged thousands of hours of cardio ~ even qualified and ran the Boston Marathon!  By the age of 35, my metabolism was shot and nothing seemed to work. Strength training improved my confidence, bone density, posture, metabolism, mood, energy and resilience. The workouts took less time than all of the cardio, and my body responded ~I finally felt and looked fit. And I could eat plenty of healthy food! My new, strong metabolism required me to do so.


As an American Council on Exercise (ACE)-Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach, I use my experience, education and passion to teach others how to safely and effectively build their strength and metabolism. Each session is unique, efficient and effective. We work together to create an enjoyable, sustainable, healthy lifestyle.


By improving our health, we enhance our ability to celebrate life.


I train in my fitness studio which is located in my home in Chapel Hill. The privacy and comfort enable us to talk about healthy living and execute our workout without interruption. You can even control the temperature and music! There's a full bathroom for you to use if you need to get ready before or after a session.
